Our service is geared towards "creative" individuals (photographers, artists, actors, authors, directors, designers, illustrators, ...basically, anyone!) to provide clean portfolio-style websites that can be easily updated by you, anytime.


We based portfoto's services around the key requirements we kept hearing from our web clients:

Absolutely! We've done our best to keep the system as simple as possible. Plus, we are constantly seeking input from our most valued source... you! We focused on simplicity (drag-n-drop, bulk uploads, in-line instructions, on-line help system). There's nothing for you to download - no software, web design, or programming is required. You easily manage everything from our web-based administration console. The majority of our users have been able to customize their website in under an hour! If you have trouble, email us anytime.

If you signed up for a free trial, your website is activated almost immediately (within a few minutes of signing up). Once you've signed up, you'll get an email with instructions on how to get going.

If we're putting together a package, custom site, or doing something special for you, then your website is usually activated within 24-48 hours (most websites are on-line same day). If we've registered a domain for you, sometimes it can take 8-48 hours for your domain name to "kick-in" (or propagate across the internet).

When you first sign up, we put your website in "staging mode" - which means you can access it at a temporary location until you're ready for "production mode" (unveiling it to the world at your web address!). Regardless of what mode you're in (staging or production) you will always have the ability to modify your site, anytime you wish!
When you're ready to unveil your website to the world, just send us an email and we'll launch it.


Absolutely! You can change background, font colors, sizes, etc. Add, remove, rearrange and alter menu items, web pages, photo galleries, add your own logo, etc. Optional background music (MP3's of your choosing) - video capability (show off your acting reel, or provide samples of your videography). Nope. After our fee, you just have your subscription (monthly or yearly).

Yes. We have customers with multiple websites. Simply sign-up for another account. You will need to use a different email address for each account - and you will need to manage your account logins and websites separately.


We do offer custom interface design and tailoring for our system. Please contact us and tell us what you had in mind.


Yes. We offer a 1 year free domain name registration and email when you sign up. If you already own a domain name that you would like to use, there is an area on our sign-up form for you to tell us about it.
We have special instructions in our help that tell you how to point your domain name to your portfoto website.


We offer a 1 year free domain name registration and email when you sign up. We will register this domain name on your behalf, but it will belong to you. The first year domain fee will be waived, and additional years for the domain name will be priced at the going domain name rate (see portfoto domains). The domain will be yours and can be managed, hosted, or transferred however you wish thereafter. This offer is not valid if you already have a domain name registered prior to signing up with portfoto. If you choose to cancel your portfoto account before the end of the qualifying term, the free domain offer is void, and the domain registration fee may not be recovered from any refunds owed to you.


Yes. As noted above - if we register a domain name for you, you get a free personalized email account. Email includes: 25MB on-server storage, access to webmail (or use your own email client, e.g. outlook), plus spam and virus protection. Need more? ..we have lots of other email packages available - contact us for more information.


We provide you 10GB/per month - this is enough for 1000's of hits per day.


We provide you with 300MB. This is enough for 1000's of images and/or a combination of videos and images. We can provide more space as needed - contact us for more information.

portfoto uses PayPal for secure online transactions. Therefore, you can use your PayPal account or your credit card to pay for portfoto services.


When you sign up, you'll be charged our one-time set-up fee plus the first installment of your subscription (either month -or- year). After the initial payment, you'll be automatically charged either monthly or yearly for your subscription. Your billing cycle starts on the day you sign-up.

No contracts - just a low month-by-month or year-by-year subscription fee.


Our one-time set-up fee is not refundable.
You can cancel your subscription at any time and you will not be charged again (there's a cancel link within the administration console).

• Monthly subscriptions: If you choose to cancel, your website will stay active until your next billing cycle at which time it will be deactivated and you will not be charged again. Since you're billed month-to-month, we do not provide a refund for the current month.
• Yearly subscriptions: If you cancel within the first 30 days, we will provide you a refund of the remaining 11 months. We use PayPal for secure transactions - we would use PayPal to perform the refund of your payment.
